Beach Bakery Grand Cafe is KOSHER DAIRY under the supervision of the Hampton Synagogue.(HSD) CLICK HERE
It is at the same level as OU and OK except supervision is more frequent.
In the winter at least ONCE a week, in the summer month almost Daily.
We do not sell products with the “Tablet K” logo and in most cases no “Triangle K”.
Our CHALLAHS are PAREVE but the rest of our breads are DAIRY even though they are made with NONE DAIRY ingredients.

We are proud to be part of the great Jewish Community in Westhampton Beach.

The Hampton Synagogue started as “the Shul at the Pool” in 1990, and now can have 1000 people attending on a Saturday.

We became Kosher in 1991.
We are a kosher bakery where Catholics, Jews, Blacks, Latino’s, Gays, Protestants, Muslims and anyone else is welcome and feels home.

We are most likely the ONLY KOSHER BAKERY where you will see a decorated Christmas tree in December in the store and a Gay pride flag on the building in June.
A Kosher bakery where LIVE bands play music in the summer and you will be able to have a Cocktail or glass of Kosher wine at night.

This is Simon from Beach Bakery Cafe. Beach Bakery is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Westhampton Beach and we are open EVERY DAY from 6 AM till late. We are in our 24th year here at this great location and we are proud to be one of the only FULL LINE bakeries left on Long Island. We make and serve croissants, donuts, muffins, , cookies, coffees, fresh squeezed orange juice, bagels with cream cheese, lasagna, pizza, soups and we even have a full line of cakes, pies, tarts and pastries. Most of these delicious items are made from scratch by our great bakers who work early and long hours to fill the shelves everyday with fresh products. Our best selling products are: black and white cookies, raspberry filled fried croissants (We are known for this product). Our Three King pie. (1/3 apple, 1/3 peach raspberry 1/3 blueberry) and our ALWAYS FRESH strawberry short cake with fresh fruit and real whipped cream. As well as the the seating we have inside, in the summer we have outside seating and on the weekends life music in the evening. We try not to be just a bakery. What makes our product so different?

EMPLOYEES:
My 4 main bakers have worked combined more then 100 years in bakeries from that more then 80 years at the Beach Bakery “Grand Cafe”.
East store employee is taught that they are too responsible for what they sell.
Simon’s rule: “if there is ONE product in the show case that looks bad,
it will make EVERYTHING looks bad”

INGREDIENTS:
We make most products from base ingredients like sugar, flour, yeast, cocoa etc.
Less then a quarter of our products come from mixes or bought-in frozen dough and then we would still add our own ingredients to make them different and better.

The quality of the ingredients is important! They have to be fresh, stored well and of high quality. Nothing worth then biting in a good looking pastry to find out it is just ok.
Chocolate has to have a nice taste, melt on your tongue and it has to leave a nice creamy chocolate taste in your mouth when it melts.

STORAGE:
Storage of the products is very important and we now have the best equipment for it.
*The cake cabinets with the big white doors you see behind the counter are the best of the best and keeps the cakes and pastries temperature and humidity controlled.
*Our Walk-Inn freezers keep products at below 6 degrees F.
*Our 1800 SF storage room on the 2nd floor is fully air-conditioned.
*And for our Gelato we bought a Sterilizer so we re-sterilize our milk before we make
Gelato from it and after the production of the Gelato we BLAST FREEZE it to -28F to
get the smoothest gelato possible.
*Our Pastry Bakery, Bread Bakery, Kitchen and store all have their own individual HVAC
units to get the right temperature for each area.

LEFT OVERS:
Some products can sell for a long time.
Some can stay for a week.
Some flakey dough products for a couple of days
But ALL Yeast Dough products, like donuts, breads, danish we only sell for ONE day ! and the left overs go to people that need it and soup kitchens.
